Creature Comfort is considered a small pet sitting company, and we want to stay that way! We know all of our sitters and clients well and work hard to make good matches between them.
We use independent contractors rather than employees, which means our team members are working to satisfy our human and animal clients, not management. It also means your schedule can be very flexible, though if you don't work, you don't get paid! You can always communicate your likes and dislikes to us and ask for more or less work. That said, if we can, we would like to assign a specific group of pets to your care so you can get to know each other well! Pay is on a per job basis.
Our typical job ad reads as follows:
- If you can handle dogs with calm assertiveness while still loving them to pieces
- If you enjoy the great outdoors in all seasons
- If work in Fairfax, Oakton, and/or Vienna is convenient
- If you are self-disciplined, detail-oriented, and organized
- If you can write and speak English fluently...
Then midday dog walking or part-time pet sitting may be for you!
This position pays a percentage of the fee charged the client, not a full-time salary. However, it can provide a lucrative part-time income, plus lots of love and respect from the animals!
This position requires reliable transportation, cell phone, internet connection, and immaculate background check results. Ability to board dogs in your home is a plus, as is willingness to provide overnight care for critters in their homes.
This work is perfect for retirees, moms with kids in school, night school students, and anyone with a few hours available between 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM on a regular basis!
